Flying to Israel for your son’s bar mitzvah or for your wedding? We are Musicali, a team of professional Israeli musicians led by saxophonist Tal Rudovsky. For 15 years and 1,000+ events our Balkan and klezmer brass band has been leading processions through the streets, filling synagogue courtyards and turning receptions into one big hora circle. Everything is arranged with you in English, over WhatsApp or a video call, before you land.
What the band does at a bar mitzvah or a wedding
- The procession: trumpet, tuba, drums, saxophone and clarinet walk with your family from the hotel, through the streets or the Old City, to the synagogue or the venue. Guests clap, sing and dance the whole way.
- The entrance: a big brass welcome for the bar mitzvah boy, or for the bride and groom, that gets everyone on their feet before the first blessing.
- The reception: klezmer and Balkan tunes with clarinet, accordion and double bass while guests arrive and mingle.
- The party: hora circles, freilachs, Israeli and Hasidic hits, Balkan brass and Mediterranean favourites, with our own sound system, anywhere in Israel.
Line-up: from 3 to 8 musicians
The smallest line-up is a trio, typically clarinet or saxophone, trumpet and drums, which is perfect for a walking procession or an intimate family celebration. From there we add tuba, accordion, double bass, a second horn and percussion, up to a seven- or eight-piece brass orchestra for a large wedding or a bar mitzvah with a big guest list. All of our musicians play this music every week in Israel; nobody is learning the horas for your event.

Yes. What is a Balkan-klezmer band?
A brass-led ensemble — trumpet, tuba, drums, saxophone and clarinet, with accordion and double bass in the klezmer line-up — playing klezmer, Balkan and Israeli simcha music. It is built for street processions, grand entrances and dance floors at bar mitzvahs and weddings.
How many musicians do we need for a bar mitzvah or a wedding?
From 3 to 8. A trio (clarinet or saxophone, trumpet and drums) carries a walking procession or an intimate family celebration; a five- to eight-piece brass orchestra fills a large wedding or a bar mitzvah with a big guest list. We build the line-up around your guest count and budget.
Can the band walk with us through the streets or the Old City of Jerusalem?
Yes — the procession line-up is fully acoustic, so no power is needed. We plan the route and timing with your planner or tour guide and coordinate any permits the venue or city requires.
How do we book and pay from abroad?
